INTERRUPTED - SMALL GROUP UPDATE NEWS
When the time came to sign up for a new small group, I hopped online to do some research. I wanted to choose the right study - one that could challenge me and grab my interest. One study, in particular, jumped out at me simply because of its title, “Interrupted.” Here is a part of the synopsis I read on the publisher’s website:
"Through a fresh and surprising look at Scripture you’ve heard before but never taken seriously, 'Interrupted' will frustrate you, make you uncomfortable, and challenge your sensibilities. It’s the Bible study no one wants to do because everything might have to change."

I knew as soon as I read these two sentences this was not the study I wanted, but it was the one I needed. I have only completed two weeks of “Interrupted” but I can say with complete certainty that I will never be the same. Nothing has ever grabbed my attention and re-arranged me quite like this study. I can feel the hand of God working in my life through this small group. He is stripping away the pride, wrong-motives, and self-centeredness I didn’t even know I had. I don’t know what else is in store for this group in the remaining weeks, but I am excited. I pray that we will all be like new vessels, willing to stretch and grow with new ideas and convictions.

Matthew 9:16-17 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
