REVIVAL UPDATE - MARCH 10TH NEWS
It’s been so rewarding for me, as a Pastor, to see Faith Apostolic Church steadily becoming the church God desires us to be. Over the last several years, I have seen a series of transformations that are all a part of God making us into an Antioch church. FAC has become a church of dynamic, intense worship. We have grown into a true church of prayer and consecration. We have learned, as a church, how to let the Spirit flow through us and in us. Every time we gather together, we are seeing miracles of healing and deliverance, people are receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and our church is flowing in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Since the beginning of 2010, I have witnessed yet another transformation that is part of God making us into a truly Apostolic church. God has renewed within us a passion to reach out to people in the world around us - not only with the Gospel - but simply to serve and minister to their needs. We are becoming a “missional” church. Within the last few months a greater number of people than ever before are responding to Christ’s commission to “go.” We have people who are volunteering to go to hospitals and nursing homes to pray for the sick and visit the elderly. Almost weekly, I hear of another member of our church who is volunteering at a homeless shelter or a similar venue. Our ladies are volunteering at women’s centers, homes for young mothers and shelters for troubled teens. Teams of men and women are going to the inner city on a regular basis to feed the homeless and pass out clothing. I have a meeting this week with members who want to start a food pantry. Since January, we have been personally and actively involved in the relief effort in Haiti and, more recently, in Chile. Within the next few months, volunteers will be returning to Haiti to help build a church and even to provide social services to those in need.

Jesus teaches us in Matthew 25 that when we feed the hungry, minister to the thirsty, take in the stranger, clothe the naked and visit those who are sick or in prison, we are ministering unto Him. Being Apostolic is about more than being a church of prayer, a church where the Spirit moves and a church that teaches the Apostles doctrine – it is also about following the Apostles examples of “going into all the world.”

If you are interested in getting involved, you can call the church office at 317-844-2185 to speak with one of our staff members. They will be happy to discuss with you where you may be able to plugged into serving with FAC.
